The First Phase of the Project PortaMI a Spasso
The first phase of the project PortaMI a Spasso has begun. It involves training to become a social- and health-related worker in order to undertake activities of assistance for and care of fragile people such as the elderly and even involving their pets: the relationship aspects of having a pet and the well-being of the animal, itself.
With PortaMI a Spasso, new activities for the elderly and their pets are put into action. These activities for the elderly and their pets help the elderly get over the difficulties that may arise with their advancing age so that they don’t have to give up the company of their animals and all the benefits that derive from it.
The first lesson was held by dott.ssa Elisabetta Donati, sociologist, researcher, and contracted teacher of the sociology of the family at the Università degli Studi in Turin.
